Everyone Knows how to do something. Whether it's playing a guitar, gardening, carpentry, knitting, painting with water colors, caring for an iguana, what ever it may be. We all have acquired certain skills in our lives and it's only right that we would want to share the results of our hobby and also share what we have learned about how to do it well.
I share the following with those that take stock in it. It has served me well over the years whether it was speeches, survey's and communications.
1. Tell them what your going to tell them
2. Tell them
3. Tell them what you have told them
Keep it simple and short. ( The KISS method, Keep it simple stupid )
On this site, I am going to talk about my own skill or hobby. I will give a little history on the subject as well as some background on how I got involved in it. I might also include some instructions on how to perform my hobby, as well as any tips or tricks I have acquired through the years and of course , I will include lots of pictures of the results of my hobby or of me enjoying myself doing it..
Mom & Dad
I dedicate this website to my father,(Clay Hewett), who was in air conditioning & heating all his life and was one of the most knowledgeable people I ever knew when it came to a lot of things but especially air conditioning & heating and to my mother, (Avis Hewett), who had more than her share of horse sense and worked along side with my dad.
They have since passed away but not forgotten. A lot of my knowledge and experiences were accelerated by them .
A tribute and respect to T J.
My loyal and faithful companion for 11 1/2
years. T J (Jan 1992 - Aug 17, 2003).
My life has been enriched by having her and I will miss not having her around.
Just one story about T J. When she was 7months old I was getting gas at a convenient store that had a small coffee shop. 6 or 7 people having coffee got up looked outside and T J was sitting in the drivers seat honking the horn for me. Anytime I took her to the banks ATM, a convenient store I had to park where she could see me or she would either honk or bark.
Thank you T J for your time here and spending your life with me. Enjoy Rainbow Bridge and I will be with you later.
Thanks to Menifee Valley Animal Clinic for the card & the concern shown for T J.

T J loved my pick up !
|
She also loved to set in the drivers seat !
|
|
|
T J loved to play with my brothers Rotweiler/Sheppard mix even though JR, (Junior), was more than twice her size.
|
Before "T J" there was "Buddy" and she was also a very unique pet.
People noticed the bond between us.
I had "Buddy" for 12 years and I learned from her as well.
I certainly was blessed by having & caring for "TJ and Buddy".
It was a good thihg that she minded me very well. She would take after big dogs and I mean very big dogs but she would stop in her tracks when I said "NO". The one thing I had to watch is when I ran my remote control boats and I brought them close to our shore she would go into the water after them.

Watch Buddy when I ran these boats!

Buddy & me ....... then !

Buddy was a very smart dog.
She loved to curl around my neck to watch as I did the dishes.

One of Buddy's favorite places !
The other was around my neck.

Buddy & my brother when he was younger !

Buddy & T J were my companions for 23 1/2 years and gave me not only education but very good company. Both were very special and will always be remembered.
Something that I noticed was all 3 of our birthdays were within several days of each other. The same monthly sign.
Thanks to Buddy & T J.

A little about me!
For over 40 plus years I have been in the air conditioning residential and light commercial business. My experiences have covered selling, design, surveying, replacement, estimating, unit sizing, (Load calculations), annual unit cost of operation, unit - job installation & coordination, costing, conservation, training, customer relations, speeches, and running my own business.
That includes a tenure with a large utility company with some of my duties in conservation, ac dealer training in load calculation, sales, and other areas of interest. For 2 years I was the project manager of a 2 million dollar conservation project where the utility company had installed & supervised installation of hi-effiency air conditioning & heating systems, insulation in the attic, and several conservation products. Data was collected and provided to an outside statistical research company for evaluation. We trained personnel to gather data and perform test on installed homes before ac was installed and after it was installed. Primarily the test was to evaluate the quantity of air, BTU's, and efficiency of the units for degradation or improvement and to evaluate those conservation measures as to their cost effectiveness.
Our company (approximately 150 employees) was one of the largest in The State of Florida with two of us doing the selling, drawing or plan design, permits, inspections according to codes & our own criteria that exceeded local codes, supervising installations, customer relations and related areas. The two of us would average between 5-10 sales each (sometimes per day) in our busiest season and covered 3 counties. Markets consisted of new or existing residential, new or existing single-multi floor apartments, new or existing mobile homes, and new or existing commercial. The two of us seeking new ideas would periodically visit manufacture operations and other out of state ac dealers (which in return would visit our operation as well).
I pass on my experiences to others that can benefit from them.
I have received many questions pertaining to air conditioning over the years. If this helps you,.......... great.
Products shown here are used by me and others as well. I do a lot of research before I try most things and I use the negative - positive approach.
1st I identify all those things that are not good about the product then I identify all those things that are good. Then I always ask what would happen if this product was not in my life.
After careful consideration then I make my decision.
I recommend my suggestions as I think your life would be improved. You judge for your self.
